1973 BMW 3.0CSL 2275990With BMW 30 CSL Luigi 001 Paint / livery: it wears its current white livery with the dark red and thin gold "Memphis" stripes for very long, probably from new History: Not known to have been raced by the factory. Became Schnitzer prepared car in 1975. The car belongs to the president of the CSL Owners Club, the other official BMW club dealing with only the E9. It was in a very bad state when he bought it, and he rebuilt it completely. I know him quite well, his workshop is near my home, so I see the CSL from time to time. The engine should be an M49/3 with the 24-valve head, mounted in upright position. Unfortunately I have no picture of the engine at hand, only some outside photos. The one attached is from 2016 when the car was standing at the Nürburgring paddock. They campaign it every year at the Oldtimer Grand Prix in August. Above from the Chairman of the German E3 Verband Owner:
